Event - SATURDAY March 4th 2023
Important things to keep in mind...
Trainers from SOLA Physical Therapy will be on site at 7:30am until the last game finishes
Trainers will be on site by the registration table which is located at the north center area of area H, just above field 3, as shown here on the map.
We will have two food trucks on site for food, there is also the brookside cafe located south of the main area in Brookside park.
Games will be 20 minute running halves, with a 2 minute half time, and no team time outs.
there are only two minutes between the end of the game and the start of the next so we ask that all teams shake hands quickly and coaches take post game team discussions off of the field so that the next game can start on time.
Games will start and stop on a central horn, unless a free shot is awarded and that will be left to the discretion of the officials on the field.
Scores will be kept on the field, and coaches will be asked to sign a final score sheet before leaving the field. Failure to sign the sheet will mean that the score tables record is final.
Each team will play 3 games on Saturday. Because the nature of the event has changed slightly we felt it would be best to schedule teams in a round robin format instead of the bracket format previously played at the Rose Bowl. This round robin format should give everyone 3 competitive games against teams most of whom are not on your regular season schedule, giving you variety instead of the chance that all three of your games would be against teams in your respective leagues or geography. Some of you do play teams on your schedule, but we did our best to minimize that wherever possible.
If you are posting scores on maxpreps, please MAKE SURE YOU CORRECTLY INDICATE IT AS A TOURNAMENT. Games tied at the end of regulation will remain a TIE. There will be no-overtime or brave hart.
This event is in it's 22nd year and it is thanks to programs like you that help grow the game here in Southern California. We appreciate your support and want to make sure everyone has a wonderful experience at the Rose Bowl Jamboree. Please help your coaches, players, and parents by reminding them that the utmost sportsmanship and respect for the game, your team, your opponents, and the officials is incredibly important to all of us. Please help us in continuing that tradition.
